He performed with Saul Williams, jammed with Shane Koyczan, hosted an ABC TV Special show of Australian Poetry Slam, wrote and directed a show in Sydney Festival, performed a solo show at Sydney Opera House and created the spoken-word festivals – Night Words and Story Week. Merrill is founder of the national performing writers' program: Australian Poetry Slam Internationally, Merrill has performed in such places as Krakow’s Audio Art Festival, festivals in Indonesia, India, Singapore, China, Canada, the US, Europe, Zimbabwe and more.
